19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been won on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev secured his maiden championship for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has had a torrid period, managing just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in particular - led to him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately separating with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden trophy following the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court after spring of 2023.
The win also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one championships at twenty-one different events.
"For the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a trophy is particularly special," stated tennis professional the champion.
"This title is in honour of my child her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had lost his previous six finals, including in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and recurring reactions on court had caused observers to wonder if his ability to play at the highest level was finished.
However the 29-year-old has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and perform aggressively, backed up by an improved serve.
The champion fought back from a break down in the first set against the difficult Moutet, winning 4 of the concluding five points to go ahead.
Both players exchanged break points in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden tour championship, gained dominance to force a decider.
The opponent rescued 4 early chances in a tight final set before Medvedev won the break to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned the win with a rally at the net, with his opponent unable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
